Pasig ferry operations suspended due to Typhoon ‘Quinta’

MANILA, Philippines — Operations of the Pasig City Ferry Service were temporarily suspended on Monday due to Typhoon “Quinta,” the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.

The MMDA’s announcement came after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed Metro Manila under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2, the MMDA said.

In its latest severe weather bulletin, Pagasa said Quinta is packing maximum sustained winds of 125 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 180 kph.

Quinta was last spotted in the vicinity of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, with maximum sustained winds of 125 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 180 kph.
