Robredo, staff under quarantine after exposure to COVID-19 positive patient

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo on Sunday revealed that she and her staff are currently under quarantine after they had exposure to a positive COVID-19 patient.

During her weekly radio program “Biserbisyong Leni” on DZXL, Robredo said that she, her chief of staff USec. Philip Dy, and her staff were exposed to the patient last week.

“Na-expose ako sa isang nag-positive. So sumunod kami sa protocols (I was exposed to someone who tested positive, so we followed protocols),” Robredo said.

“Kinansel namin ang mga physical meets noong Friday at Saturday (We canceled our physical meetings on Friday and Saturday),” she said.

Originally, Robredo was scheduled to visit Lucena, Quezon, and Caloocan City this upcoming week.

“Hopefully ma-swab na kami. ‘Pag na-clear na kami, tuloy na ulit, (Hopefully, we get swabbed, so we will be cleared and continue our work)” Robredo expressed.

Back in July, eight of Robredo’s staff tested positive for COVID-19.
