Brace for Tropical Depression Quinta, Quezon officials told

LUCENA CITY – Quezon  Governor Danilo Suarez has ordered all mayors and disasters risk reduction management offices to prepare for Tropical Depression Quinta.

“All LCEs (local chief executives) and LDRRMOs (local disaster risk reduction management offices) are encouraged to be more vigilant as we prepare/anticipate for the seeming effects of this tropical depression,” Suarez said in his Memorandum Order No. 130 issued Friday, a copy of which was posted on his social media account.

Suarez also tasked all concerned local officials and offices to carry out necessary measures based on “Listo Protocol” and other preventive measures for the rainy season.

The program institutionalized local protocols for disaster preparedness, response and monitoring.

“Quinta” is expected to develop into a tropical storm before making landfall over the BicolrRegion on Monday.

It is also expected to affect the Calabarzon region and Metro Manila.
