Authorities search for 3 Filipino crewmen from capsized boat off Boracay
MANILA, Philippines — Authorities are searching for three Filipino crew members who went missing after their boat capsized in the waters off Boracay Island Thursday, a police spokesman said Friday.
Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz of the Philippine National Police said that the crew, with 10 foreign tourists, was on board the Captain K Boat near the Puka Beach Resort in Yapak village at around 2:15 p.m. when their boat capsized.
He said that the Boracay Special Tourist Police Office (BSTPO) was able to rescue seven British nationals, two Chinese, and one Australian but were still on the lookout for the crew members who had gone missing.
