Bro’s ‘honest mistake’: FB page admins only 7, not 70, MMDA’s Pialago clarifies
MANILA, Philippines — Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson Celine Pialago on Monday said her brother committed an “honest mistake” when he said she has 70 administrators for her Facebook page, clarifying that it is only seven.
In an interview with ABS-CBN’s Teleradyo, Pialago explained it was her brother who made the comment on her Facebook post that she has 70 administrators for her Facebook page.
The comment was made under Pialago’s Facebook post, criticizing supporters of detained activist Reina Mae Nasino for supposedly turning her plight into a “drama serye” (television drama).
“Meron po akong pito [na administrators]. Pinagalitan ko na po ‘yan. Actually younger brother ko ‘yung isang sumasagot. Dinelete ko na ‘yun. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nag-70 ‘yun dahil sa settings naman ng Facebook, 12 lang naman po talaga ang maximum na admin. Wala pong admin na 70,” she said.
(I only have seven. I lectured my brother who made the comment. I deleted the comment already. I don’t know why it became 70 but under the settings of Facebook, only 12 individuals are allowed to be administrators of a page. There is no page that has 70 administrators.)

Pialago also apologized over the comment, admitting she wasn’t able to immediately check it out. She added her brother actually meant she had seven Facebook page administrators.
“For that point, I would like to apologize. On that point, ‘yan po hindi ko na-check ‘yan (I was not able to check that). Hindi ako naging (I did not become) responsible on that matter,” she said.
“My brothers [who] are like 19 and 25, ang instruction ko lang sa kanila make sure na mababasa ‘yung inbox. Siguro ‘yung mga kapatid ko, syempre ‘yung bashing, alam n’yo na po mga bata, so sumagot. I am not into Facebook really. I am into Instagram,” she also said.
(My instruction to my brothers, who are aged around 19 and 25, is to make sure that messages in the inbox are being read. Maybe my brothers just responded to the bashing. I am not really into Facebook. I am into Instagram.)
