MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig River Ferry Service resumed operations on Friday, two days after a high-volume of water hyacinths clogged portions of the Pasig River, causing a temporary suspension of the service.

In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the return of the ferry service’s normal operations from Escolta Station in Binondo, Manila, to Nagpayong Station in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

“The ferry will operate from Pinagbuhatan-Guadalupe-Escolta and vice versa, Mondays to Saturdays, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.,” MMDA said.

Passengers are urged to follow COVID-19 health and safety protocols such as wearing of face shield and face mask, temperature check, and filling out of manifest and commuter information sheet before each ride.
