Minor injured after falling from 4th-floor building in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines — A Grade 7 student was injured after he reportedly fell from the fourth floor of their building in Barangay Western Bicutan in Taguig City Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday.

In a police report, Southern Police District (SPD) said the 12-year-old boy and his elder brother were staying inside their unit when their mother left them to borrow a cellphone to be used as a guide to answer the children’s online school modules at 6:20 p.m.

After 10 minutes, police said the elder brother, 18, went outside of their room to buy food.

When the elder brother  returned to their residential unit, he found their neighbor carrying his brother who fell from the fourth floor to the muddy portion of the ground floor near the building.

The student was rushed to Ospital ng Makati where he was confined and placed under observation.

In a text message to INQURIER.net, Taguig City police chief Colonel Celso Rodriguez said the boy survived the incident but is still recovering from the injuries from the accident.
