MANILA, Philippines — The city government of San Juan has shortened its curfew hours anew, now setting it at just five hours from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 a.m.

Updates posted on San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora’s Facebook page on Monday, however, clarified that health protocols would remain in place and that some individuals may be excused from the curfew.

Among the individuals who can move around the city even during the curfew hours are the following:

“Effective today, our curfew in San Juan will be from 12 am to 5 am. All health and safety protocols will remain in place and will be strictly enforced through our COVID-19 local ordinances and IATF resolutions and directives,” Zamora said in his post.

Curfew hours in San Juan were first modified in September as the movement of people was gradually allowed in order to reverse the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
