/ 07:36 AM January 26, 2012

THE Big Chill and Freego Jeans will try to complete their upset bids over their favored opponents as the best-of-three semifinals series in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup continues today at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series is scheduled at 2 p.m. with the Big Chill aiming to finish off the top-seeded and reigning champions NLEX Road Warriors. The other semifinal series between Freego Jeans and Cebuana Lhuillier comes off at 4 p.m.

The Super Chargers exploited the Road Warriors’ dismal shooting in Game 1 to defeat their top-seeded opponents for the second time in as many meetings this conference, 83-66.

The Road Warriors will be without power forward Calvin Abueva, who will be serving a one-game suspension. Abueva drew a flagrant foul category 2 and was thrown out late in the third quarter of Game 1 for hitting Jessie Collado in head.

The Jeans Makers on the other hand, escaped with a, 56-55 Game One win as Roider Cabrera hit a huge triple as time expired.  /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
