THE Georich Livelihood and Learning Foundation Inc. supported the scholars who enrolled in a one-month course on basic cooking at the Banilad Center for Professional Development in Cebu City.
The scholars were helpers of trustees of the foundation and a few professionals recommended by consultants and officers of the foundation.
They were exposed to different cooking tools, techniques to sharpen a knife, how to cut different sizes of leafy vegetables and root crops, and how to prepare pasta, noodles and food garnishings. They also learned recipes to prepare spring rolls, French Onion soup, embutido, salad, lasgna, carrot cake and mango crepe.
Felisa Chiongbian, foundation president, said Georich would continue helping people with less in life develop to their full potential.
The scholars, who attended lessons for four Saturdays in June, received certificates of training during a graduation ceremony attended by Chiongbian, BCPD Director Elizabeth Lopez, trainor Grace Castañares and Georich executive secretary-scholar Lynn Dublin.
