MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake shook Surigao del Norte Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake hit 53 kilometers southeast of General Luna, Surigao del Norte, at 8:32 a.m., Phivolcs said in its bulletin.
It had a depth of 15 km and was tectonic in origin.
No aftershocks nor damage could be expected from the temblor, Phivolcs said.
