MANILA, Philippines — It is time to go for a vacation after a long period of lockdown, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Monday as he invited the public to visit the newly reopened Boracay.

Boracay, open for business,” he added.

Boracay reopened to more local tourists on October 1.
Tourists need to present a negative result of reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction 48 to 72 hours prior to traveling to the island.
Travelers aged below 21 and above 60 years old are allowed to visit Boracay as long as they have no comorbidity or worse health conditions.
It was in June when Boracay Island reopened, but only for residents of Western Visayas.
