MANILA, Philippines — Over P4 million worth of shabu was seized from two drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City over the weekend, the Philippine National Police – National Capital Region Police Office (PNP-NCRPO) said Monday.
Police arrested drug suspects Abdul Sulong, 33, and Taya Sulong, 65, during the operation in Villa Enrico Heights in Barangay 171 on Saturday, October 3.
Police said Abdul, who was the target of the operation, is included in the drugs watchlist.
Seized from the suspects were seven plastic bags of shabu, weighing about 600 grams with an estimated value of P4,090,000; a silver digital weighing scale, a black shoulder bag and marked peso bills.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas lauded the successful anti-illegal drug operation that led to the confiscation of illegal drugs as well as the arrest of drug suspects.
“I commend the successful anti-illegal drug operation conducted by Northern Police District, Caloocan City Police Station which led to the confiscation of more than P4 million worth of suspected illegal drugs and arrest of two drug personalities in Caloocan,” he said in a statement.
“I am elated for your unwavering effort and dedication to attain our vision of a safer Metro Manila for all,” he added.
