The virtual edition of the 2020 Philippine Travel Exchange (Phitex) opened in Panglao Island, Bohol province, on Wednesday with tourism officials calling on tourism industry stakeholders to work with the government for the gradual resumption of tourism activities in the country.
Tourism Promotion Board chief operating officer Maria Anthonette Velasco-Allones and Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap led the opening ceremony for Phitex 2020 from Panglao’s Bellevue Resort, joined by 124 buyers from 33 countries and 350 delegates from 121 companies in the Philippines. —JEROME ANING
