Water level in Angat Dam reservoir slightly rises

CITY OF MALOLOS—Water level at the Angat Dam reservoir slightly rose due to intermittent rains on Wednesday (Sept. 23), data from the Bulacan provincial disaster risk reduction management council showed.

At 6 a.m. on Thursday (Sept. 24), the water elevation in the dam’s reservoir was 177. 40 meters above sea level (masl), which was .10 m higher than the previous day.

But the stock remained below the reservoir’s minimum operating level of 180 masl.

On Tuesday (Sept. 22), the level was 177. 42 masl, which was lower than Monday’s record of 177.65 masl.

The dam’s normal high level is at 210 masl. It supplies 97 percent of drinking water in Metro Manila.
