Municipal hall in Bohol town closed for disinfection vs COVID-19

TAGBILARAN CITY –– The Tubigon municipal hall was closed on Thursday for disinfection after an employee contracted the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“While the temporary suspension is ongoing, disinfection and sanitation of the building in its entirety will be done as well,” an advisory posted on Facebook.

The advisory added that employees are encouraged to submit to a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test but have the option to undergo a strict 14-day home quarantine if they prefer to choose the latter.

The municipal government, with the recommendation from the Tubigon Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force, also temporarily closed the fish and meat sections of the Tubigon Commercial Complex on Thursday, Sept. 24.

Three villages––Pooc Occidental, Centro, and Cabulijan––have been placed under lockdown until September 30.

As of Thursday, Sept. 24, Tubigon has 33 COVID-19 cases, including 21 active cases and 12 recoveries.

As of Sept. 20, Bohol has 287 COVID-19 patients but 239 of them had already recovered while eight have died.
