OLONGAPO CITY–Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. returned to work on Monday (Sept. 21) after testing negative for SARS Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Paulino ended his self-isolation after the negative test results came out on Saturday (Sept. 19).
He had taken the test after being exposed to health workers who came in contact with a COVID-19 patient.
On Sept. 16, some government officials, including a staff member of the city health office, had tested positive for the virus.
It led to a mass testing and temporary closure of the city health office.
The city currently has 190 COVID-19 cases.
