3 alleged ‘shabu’ peddlers busted in Lucena

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested three suspected drug pushers in two separate buy-bust operations here Friday morning.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, identified the suspects as Raymond Tabat, 30; Dominciano Talon, 29; and Rizaldy Vergara, 44.

Anti-narcotics agents collared Tabat and Talon after they sold P500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a plastic sachet to an undercover police officer in a drug deal in Barangay Dalahican at 9:10 a.m.

The suspects, tagged by the police as both rookies in the illegal drug trade, yielded seven plastic sachets of shabu.

Earlier, Vergara was busted in another drug sting in Barangay Ilayang Iyam at 6:20 a.m.

Authorities seized nine sachets of shabu from the suspect, who is in the police list of identified drug pushers in the city.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
