Olongapo mayor goes into self-isolation as gov’t workers contract COVID-19
OLONGAPO CITY –– Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. on Friday started undergoing self-isolation after some government employees, including health care workers, tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Paulino said he was still waiting for his swab test result.
One of the virus-infected health workers belongs to the city health office, Paulino said.
On Thursday, 31 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in the city, raising its COVID-19 tally to 346 since the pandemic began.
At least 150 of these cases remained active, while 182 had recovered from the disease. The city also recorded 14 deaths related to COVID-19.
