MANILA, Philippines — All private and public cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbariums will be closed from October 29 to November 4, 2020, Malacanang said Friday.

“Lahat ng mga pribado at pampublikong sementeryo, memorial parks kasama na ang mga columbarium ay isasara sa mga bisita mula October 29 hanggang November 4, 2020,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in an online briefing.

From September 17 to November 15 excluding the aforementioned dates, Roque said cemeteries will be open but only with a limited capacity of 30 percent.

“Pwede naman po tayo dumalaw bago isara at matapos isara ang mga sementeryo pero 30 percent nga po ang capacity, kinakailangan [magsuot ng] face masks at face shields,” he said.

Roque added the elderly and children will be allowed to visit cemeteries during this time.
