BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya –– A 59-year-old man with no travel history has died of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Dupax del Sur town on Sunday, officials said.

The patient, a resident of Barangay Bagumbayan, died while being treated for complications, said Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer.

Galapon said the elderly man became the province’s ninth fatality related to COVID-19.

But three other virus-infected elderly patients aged 68 to 84 in Solano and Bayombong towns have recovered from the disease, Galapon said.
