House of Representatives logs 74th COVID-19 case
MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives recorded on Monday its 74th coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) case among its personnel.
House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales said the 74th case involves a member of the lower chamber’s security staff who last reported for work on September 2.
The security officer had himself tested after developing fever, said Montales.
Of the 74 cases, Montales said 14 are active.
Montales earlier reminded employees to only report for work when physical presence is necessary.
“Do NOT physically report for work when experiencing or have experienced any of the COVID-19 symptoms within the last 14 days. When in doubt, assume the COVID 19-like symptom to be COVID-19,” the House official said.
