BAGUIO CITY — A digital tour of the University of the Philippines (UP) Baguio campus greeted 750 freshmen during the formal opening on Thursday of its completely digital first semester.
The freshmen and 1,250 senior students will be taking their classes online.
“You are the first freshmen to join a new semester during the coronavirus pandemic. Because of fears and uncertainties brought by the disease, we hope the education you get would illuminate your way to the future,” said Dr. Raymundo Rovillos, UP Baguio chancellor.
Once public health conditions improve, UP Baguio will shift to modified classroom lectures for the second semester. —VINCENT CABREZA
