MANILA, Philippines — Former House Speaker Arnulfo “Noli” Fuentebella passed away on Wednesday, September 9, his son Camarines Sur Rep. Arnie Fuentebella confirmed.
He was 74.
Rep. Fuentebella said his father succumbed to heart failure after battling kidney disease.
“With deep sorrow, we would like to inform our family and friends that Former Speaker Arnulfo “Noli” P. Fuentebella has passed away this morning, September 9, 2020,” the younger Fuentebella said in a Facebook post.
“He succumbed to Heart Failure after battling kidney disease for almost two years,” he added.
The family will announce the details of the necrological services “in the following days.”
Fuentebella served as House Speaker from November 2000 to January 2001.
