MANILA, Philippines — The government has expanded anew its face shield requirement by making the wearing of face shields mandatory in supermarkets, public markets, shopping malls and government venues.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) stressed that in “all other public areas, the wearing of face shields shall be highly encouraged.”

“The wearing of the same shall be likewise required in supermarkets, public markets, malls and in venues where government-initiated meetings and critical government services are being conducted or provided,” the IATF said.
