At least 22 test positive for COVID-19 in Eastern Visayas; total in region is 3,403

TACLOBAN CITY –– At least 22 individuals tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Eastern Visayas on Sunday, bringing the total number of infections in the region to 3,403.

At least 2,325 or 68.32 percent, however, have recovered from the disease, the Department of Health (DOH) said.

Of the new cases, 20 are from Leyte province: Tacloban City, six; Barugo, four; Palo, three; Leyte-Leyte, two; and one each from Kananga, Dulag, Capoocan, Burauen, and Baybay City.

In Samar, the new cases are from Catbalogan City and Pinabacdao.
