MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have fair weather on Sunday, the state weather bureau said.
“Meron tayong habagat or Southwest Monsoon, pero considering po na ito ay mahina lamang, pero ito ay nagdadala ng bugso-bugsong pag-ulan dito sa kanlurang bahagi ng ating bansa,” Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Benison Estareja said in an early morning update.
(We currently have the southwest monsoon, but since this is weak, this will only bring scattered rains over the west part of our country.)
Due to the “habagat”, as well as localized thunderstorms, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Kristine (international name: Haishen) , exited the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday night.
It was last spotted 1,140 kilometers northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.
