6th COVID-19 fatality recorded in Nueva Vizcaya
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya—Another patient afflicted with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)died in Solano town, which recently reverted to a stricter community quarantine, officials said on Saturday.
Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer, said the latest COVID-19 fatality, a 50-year-old man, was the province’s sixth since the pandemic began.
Galapon said 25 new COVID-19 cases were also recorded in the province, raising to 126 the total tally as of Saturday.
Sixteen of the new cases were traced to Solano, which was placed under a modified enhanced community quarantine since Sept.1 due to the surging COVID-19 cases.
The town’s youngest COVID-19 patients include five children aged 1 to 10.
