Motorcycle rider killed in Lucena road crash

LUCENA CITY – A motorcycle rider died following a mishap along this city’s diversion road early on Saturday.

The Lucena City police reported that Brich Guillermo, while aboard his motorcycle  with no license plate, was hit  by a car being driven by Ian Paul Santos in Barangay Ibabang Dupay at 1 a.m.

The motorcycle skidded for about 30 meters from the point of impact, the report said.

Guillermo was taken to Quezon Medical Center here but expired along the way.

Santos claimed that Guillermo’s motorcycle swerved into his lane.

The car driver is now under police custody and will face appropriate charges.
