LEGAZPI CITY – An alleged drug pusher was killed in a shootout with the authorities amid a buy-bust operation Friday afternoon in Nabua, Camarines Sur.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ronnie Fabia, Nabua police chief, said Wilmor Solera, 60, was transacting with an undercover police officer in Barangay Malawag at around 3:30 p.m.
Sensing that he was about to be arrested, Solera immediately drew his caliber .38 revolver and opened fire, which prompted the police to return fire.
Solera, who was included in the drug watch list, died while being rushed to hospital.
Fabia said the local police recovered 12 sachets or 10 grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth an estimated P60,000, a caliber 38 revolver and ammunition from the slain suspect.
