Oriental Mindoro has 6 new COVID-19 patients, including 2 medical workers

CITY OF CALAPAN –– Oriental Mindoro has recorded six additional coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, including two health care workers and a 4-year-old child.

A report posted on social media by the provincial government on Wednesday night said the two affected health care workers–a 31-year-old male nurse and a 26-year-old female medical technologist–are from Pinamalayan town.

The three other patients are also from Pinamalayan–a 62-year-old woman, who was admitted in a private hospital and discharged on August 31; a 4-year-old girl, who is asymptomatic; and a 33-year-old woman, also asymptomatic, while one, a 23-year-old male, is from Calapan, the report said.

There were three new recoveries and 84 new negative results on Wednesday, the report said.

In its COVID-19 tracker at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the province said its confirmed local cases now stood at 162, with 116 recoveries, 41 undergoing treatment, and five deaths.
