MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso will give P100,000 to any barangay in the city with zero new coronavirus infection for two months.
In a Facebook Live address, Domagoso said the city was allocating P89.6 million for the incentive, which started on Tuesday.
“In the next two months, starting Sept. 1 and ending on Oct. 31, if there is no new registered case of infection, your barangay will get a P100,000 cash incentive,” Domagoso said.
“The goal, he said, is zero COVID-19 [case]. I believe that you can do it. That is why we want to give you incentive,” he said.
All COVID-19 data will be verified by the Manila Health Department.
