8 wanted crime suspects nabbed in Bicol
LEGAZPI CITY –– At least eight wanted persons facing various criminal complaints were arrested on Tuesday by police operatives in separate raids in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, and Masbate, police said.
Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said these wanted individuals are facing charges for crimes ranging from car theft, illegal recruitment, rape, acts of lasciviousness, illegal possession of firearms, and frustrated murder.
In Baao town, Camarines Sur, Ryan Odavar, 30, a resident of Barangay Sagrada, number eight on the wanted list facing car theft charges, was arrested at his house at 11:30 a.m.
In San Jose, also in Camarines Sur, Juliet Tuyay, 34, of Barangay San Antonio and number 10 on the town’s wanted list, was arrested at 10:25 a.m. at her home for illegal recruitment.
In Goa town, Camarines Sur, police served a warrant of arrest to Rafael Opinion, aka Ryan Melgarejo, 23, of Barangay Tinawagan, Tigaon town but presently residing in Barangay Napawon, Goa. The suspect, number two in the town’s wanted list, was arrested in Barangay San Juan Bautista at 8:40 a.m. He is facing rape charges.
In Calabanga town, Camarines Sur, Bartolome Briones, 46, of Barangay Bonot-Sta. Rosa, was arrested by police at his residence at around 5:30 a.m. The suspect was number three on the town wanted list for three counts for lascivious conducts.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Canaman town, Camarines Sur, Froilan De Leon Jr., 37, of Barangay San Ramon was arrested by police in Barangay San Vicente around 2 a.m. The suspect is number 7 in the town’s wanted list and accused of illegal possession of firearms.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Bacon town, Sorsogon province, Crisanto Payo, 20, of Barangay Bogna, was arrested at his residence at 7:45 a.m. The suspect is number nine in the city’s wanted list and was accused of frustrated murder.
In Aroroy, Masbate, police nabbed Jerry Itang, 18, resident of Barangay Panique, around 5:45 a.m. over rape charges.
