ACP Stanley said at 10 am on Aug 31, the suspect had stopped the victim, a cement mixer, from going out as she suspected he was seeing another woman.

“This led to a quarrel between the two. In a heated moment, the woman took out a meat cleaver and tried to slash him,” he said.

Seeing this, the victim used his both hands to ward off the attack.

The suspect then aimed at his left leg.

“The grandfather of the suspect stopped the woman by dragging her out of the house while her sister called the police,” he said.

The victim sustained cuts on his both hands and left knee.
