MANILA, Philippines — A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit Bontoc in Mountain Province Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Philvolcs said that the quake, which struck 5:03 a.m., was tectonic in origin. It was traced 16 kilometers southwest of Bontoc.
No damages and aftershocks were expected, it added.
