Resident from Bohol town dies of COVID-19
TAGBILARAN CITY – A resident of Trinidad town in Bohol succumbed to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The patient, a resident of Purok 2 in Barangay Guinobatan, was first admitted at the President Carlos P. Garcia Memorial Hospital (PCPGMH) in Talibon town on August 14 due to “spleen malignancy” and was eventually transferred to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.
On August 22, the patient decided to go home.
The following day, the patient was brought again to PCPGMH where he died hours after.
The patient was found positive for COVID-19.
The place where the patient lived was immediately locked down by the local government unit while contact tracing was conducted.
