MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.2 earthquake rattled Nueva Vizcaya on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake struck at 8:17 a.m.. Its epicenter was traced three kilometers southwest of Ambaguio town.
The tremor was of tectonic origin, and had a one-kilometer depth of focus.
Phivolcs said that the mild temblor was also recorded at Instrumental Intensity I in Baler, Aurora.
No aftershocks and damage to infrastructure, however, are expected, Phivolcs added.
