LEGAZPI CITY — Police operatives serving a search warrant seized an estimated P60,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from a drug suspect Friday in Baao, Camarines Sur.
Odino Cortez, 49 and a resident of Barangay San Isidro, was nabbed by police armed with a search warrant issued by judge Timoteo Panga of Regional Trial Court in Iriga City at around 4 p.m. in his residence, according to Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.
The subsequent search resulted in the discovery of two sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams and assorted drug-using paraphernalia.
The suspect was placed under police custody while awaiting the filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 or Republic Act 1965.
