COVID-19 hits 120 more cops, bringing PNP tally to 3,669

MANILA, Philippines — The new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infected 120 more police personnel, raising the total tally of cases in the Philippine National Police to 3,669.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the PNP documented 2,626 recoveries — 69 more than the previous figure.

The death toll in the PNP remained at 16.

Most of the newly-reported COVID-19 patients in the PNP are with the National Operations Support Unit with 69 followed by the National Capital Region Police Office with 18.

The PNP is also monitoring 691 probable and 2,689 suspected cases of COVID-19 among its personnel.

As of this writing, the COVID-19 cases nationwide is 202,361 with 133,460 recoveries and 3,137 fatalities.
