SAN JOSE CITY –– Three suspected drug traders were killed after they reportedly resisted arrest and engaged policemen in a shootout during a buy-bust operation here on Wednesday.
Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno, city police chief, identified the slain suspects as Noel Fernando and a certain Ambet and Larry.
Investigators said the suspects were caught selling “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent in Sitio Pacac, Barangay Abar 2nd about 4 a.m.
Bruno said the three suspects had been under surveillance by the local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
