MANILA, Philippines —  After 12 years, the floors of Pasig City’s Mega Market on Caruncho Ave. are set to get a makeover.

In a tweet by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Tuesday, he showed several men removing the tiles of the market’s meat section.

Sotto noted that market-goers always complained that the tiles were slippery especially in the wet section.

“After 12 years!! Nasimulan nang palitan ang nirereklamo niyong madulas na tiles sa palengke,”the mayor said. “Yung sa meat section ang unang ginagawa.”

(After 12 years!! We started to replace the tiles in the market that you’ve always complained about as slippery. The t[tiles] at the market’s meat section is the first to be replaced.)
