MANILA, Philippines — Total tally of COVID-19 cases in the country jumped to 194,252 as the Department of Health (DOH) logged over 4,000 new cases on Monday.
Of the sum, 5,200 are considered active cases, according to DOH’s daily case bulletin.
DOH also said that Metro Manila registered the most number with 2,519 of the 4,686 new cases followed by Laguna province with 286 cases, and Cavite with 218 cases.
Most of the COVID-19 cases or 91.5% are with mild symptoms while 6.1% showed no symptoms, as 1% are severe cases while 1.4% are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, DOH also reported that the number of recoveries rose by 729 to 132,042 cases while the death toll increased to 3,010 with 13 new fatalities.
DOH further said it removed 35 duplicates – 17 recovered and one death – from the total case count.
There were also 37 cases that were previously reported as recovered but verified as five deaths and 32 active cases. the agency noted.
