Farmer gunned down in Camarines Sur
LEGAZPI CITY — A 53-year-old farmer shot dead in his residence Sunday night in Calabanga, Camarines Sur, police said Monday.
Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson, identified the victim as Jose Banglo, a resident of Barangay Tomagodtod.
The assailant, armed with a handgun, knocked on the door of the victim’s residence at around 7:30 p.m., allegedly looking for a certain Rafael Perillo, police report said.
As the victim responded and opened the door, the suspect fired at him, killing him instantly.
Further investigation is ongoing.
