MANILA, Philippines — Gaming technology firm Globaltech Mobile Online Corp., said Saturday that a former Air Force official accused of operating “jueteng” (illegal numbers game) in Pangasinan was their authorized regional representative in Ilocos (Region 1).

“We would like to clarify that Mr. Efren Fajardo, a former Philippine Air Force officer, is the authorized regional representative of Globaltech Mobile Online Corp. which operates the Peryahan ng Bayan (PNB) games,” the company said in a statement.

“The PNB games are authorized by law by virtue of a Court of Appeals final decision which affirmed a status quo ante order that allows the operation of the games,” the company stressed.

Fajardo, who served the Philippine Air Force after graduating in 1993 as a member of the Philippine Military Academy Maalab Class, has been tagged in alleged jueteng activities in Pangasinan.
