Teacher nabbed for selling meth in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur—A teacher in an elementary school in Dumalinao town of Zamboanga del Sur was arrested here on Saturday for selling illegal drugs.

Cesario Judilla Jr., Zamboanga del Sur director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), identified the suspect as Henry Dominic Calimot Paglinawan of Camanga village in Dumalinao town.

He agreed to sell crystal meth or shabu to undercover agents of the PDEA and the police’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in Gatas village here.

Seized from the 36-year-old teacher were about six grams of suspected shabu, estimated to sell at around P40,000 on retail. The drugs were filled in transparent plastic in nine different sizes and placed inside an empty cigarette pack.

Also seized from Paglinawan is a cellphone believed to be used for dealing with potential shabu buyers, and the P500 buy-bust money.
