Fish vendor nabbed for selling ‘shabu’ in Lucena

LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Police arrested a fish vendor who allegedly sold “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation here early Friday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, identified the suspect as Eduardo Petilla Jr., 42, a resident of the coastal village of Dalahican.

Anti-illegal drug operatives collared Petilla after he sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police agent during the buy-bust operation in the said village around 7:50 a.m.

Police seized eight plastic sachets of shabu from the suspect, who is included in the police list of identified street-level drug pushers in the city.

The suspect is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
