MANILA, Philippines — More areas will experience cloudy skies and rainshowers on Thursday due to the low pressure area and the southwest monsoon or habagat, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, Pagasa said that Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, Calabarzon and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the LPA.
The LPA was last seen 30 kilometers north of Daet, Camarines Norte.
“Nananatili po na mababa ang tyansa na mag-develop ito into a tropical depression, pero magdadala pa rin ng pag-ulan sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon at Visayas,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.
(There is still a low chance for the LPA to develop into a tropical depression, but it will still bring rains in large parts of Luzon and Visayas.)
Mimaropa, Western and Central Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
The rest of Mindanao will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms, according to Pagasa.
