TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines reopened the Tuguegarao City Airport to domestic air traffic after getting clearance from the city government on Monday.
Airport operations were suspended for five months when air travel was restricted at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
Mayor Jefferson Soriano said the airport would now allow flights to and from Basco town in Batanes province, and Maconacon and Palanan towns in Isabela province.
On Aug. 5, the airports of Cauayan City, Basco and Palanan also resumed operations after getting clearances from the local governments.
