MANILA, Philippines — National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Major Gen. Debold Sinas on Wednesday said he will go on leave for his annual medical check-up in a Manila hospital.

“I will be having my annual medical check-up in Chinese Medical Hospital, Manila City which will start on Aug 20-22, 2020,” Sinas, who did not give further information about the medical procedure, said in a statement sent to reporters.

Sinas designated Police Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan, NCRPO deputy regional director for administration, as officer-in-charge of the Metro Manila police.

Bathan will handle communications and other concerns for NCRPO leadership while Sinas is at the hospital.

“Nonetheless, I will continuously monitor the activities and operations of NCRPO from time to time. Should there be any emergencies or crises that need my direct supervision, rest assured, I will be there,” Sinas said.
