MANILA, Philippines —Cebu Pacific, country’s budget airline, on Tuesday said it would resume some of its domestic flights as Metro Manila and other areas revert to general community quarantine on Aug. 19.
Here are the following flights that will resume:
Cebu Pacific will also operate the following flights from its other hubs namely, Cebu – Clark – Cebu for every Tuesday and Saturday as well as Cebu – Davao – Cebu for every Tuesday.
The airline also intends to operate the following international flights:
Cebu Pacific also advised those with canceled flights may avail the following options:
1. Unlimited rebooking
Rebook to any travel date within three (3) months from original flight, with change (rebooking) fees and fare difference waived. If travel is after three (3) months, change fees are waived, but minimal fare difference may apply.
2. Two-year Travel Fund
Place the full cost of the ticket in a Travel Fund, or a virtual wallet with Cebu Pacific. Valid for two (2) years, the Travel Fund can be used to pay for flights up to a year out, or purchase add-ons (e.g. baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.)
3. Full refund
Passengers on canceled flights are entitled to a full refund. However, due to the unprecedented volume of requests for refunds, the process may take up to five (5) billing cycles.
The government previously declared that Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal and Bulacan will be placed under less strict general community quarantine.
The said areas were placed under stricter modified enhanced community quarantine due to the sudden increase in coronavirus disease cases.
As of Tuesday, the Philippines logged 169,213 total caseloads with 2,687 deaths and 112,861 recoveries. [ac]
